about the artist...

Mike Purdy is a colored pencil artist who was born in Maryland

and currently resides in Sunnyvale, California, his home of 45 years.

At age 18 he obtained his first job as a portrait artist for a local amusement park.

He attended Mission College in Santa Clara, CA and graduated with an

A.S. Degree in Commercial Art. He has been involved in commissioned art work for over 25 years and is a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America.
